Imam Adeel J. Zeb
Imam Adeel J. Zeb is the founder of Halal Love Journey, a comprehensive Muslim marriage service offering wedding officiating, pre-marital and marital coaching, and professional matchmaking. With extensive experience as the Executive Director of the University Religious Conference at UCLA, a TEDx speaker, and a PhD candidate, Imam Adeel brings a unique blend of academic expertise, spiritual guidance, and community engagement to his work.
Since 2009, he has been actively involved in Islamic marriages and weddings, serving as a university Imam for 13 years at prestigious campuses nationwide, including Duke University and UCLA. This experience gives him deep insight into the needs of young American Muslims and non-Muslims from multicultural backgrounds, including converts and their families.
Imam Adeel holds traditional Islamic studies training both in the U.S. and abroad, Islamic Chaplaincy certification, and pre-marital and marital coaching certification through the FOCCUS program. Additionally, he has been certified in “Teal Dot” dating violence prevention training at Scripps College. He has received multiple certifications in conflict management from the United States Institute for Peace. Furthermore, he is certified in Emotional Intelligence from the Wright Foundation. He has also been certified in “The Science of Well-Being” from Yale University. He has also studied counseling and psychology at the master’s and doctoral levels. His PhD dissertation focuses on the interplay of Islamic marital gender roles and their contemporary application for Muslims in the United States.
He works extensively with couples globally through in-person and virtual appointments, offering personalized guidance tailored to each client’s stage on their “Halal Love Journey.” Imam Adeel is passionate about helping clients take the next steps in their relationship with confidence, clarity, and faith, Insha’Allah.
