It started with my Halal Love Journey…

As a university chaplain/imam for 13 years, I witnessed firsthand the challenges that college students and young professionals face when seeking meaningful, faith-based marital guidance. Many struggled with finding compatible partners while navigating modern dating, cultural expectations, and family dynamics — often feeling stuck, confused, or unsure how to move forward in their search for a spouse.

Personally, having navigated the courting process through classmates, international connections, heartache, matrimonial events, matchmakers, websites, and apps, I recognized a significant gap: there was no comprehensive service that addressed the unique needs of the Muslim community in a holistic, faith-centered, and culturally aware way. Questions like “How do we start the process of finding someone?” “How do we get to know them in a halal way?” “How do we prepare ourselves for marriage?” “How do we become good spouses?” “How do we interact with our in-laws?” and “How do we raise our children in Islamic environments?” often went unanswered.

These challenges go beyond simply finding a partner — they encompass the entire journey of marriage, from preparation to partnership, family integration, and raising children in alignment with Islamic values. Recognizing this, Halal Love Journey was founded to provide comprehensive support, guiding individuals and couples through each stage with coaching, matchmaking, marital legal guidance, Nikkah services, and community programs — ensuring that every step is aligned with faith, culture, and long-term compatibility.
